FAQs
Is your turmeric well assimilated?
Curcumin (the active ingredient in Turmeric) is poorly absorbed by the intestines and the absorbed fraction is quickly transformed by the liver and then eliminated. In order to benefit from the virtues of this ingredient, it is therefore necessary to resolve the problem of this low assimilation. This is why we use a patented active ingredient, Turmeric SLCP © (= Solid Lipid Turmeric Particle ) which is an extract of Curcuma longa rhizome titrated to 184 mg of Curcuminoids providing 160 mg of free Curcumin bioavailable for the body.
This patented , clinically tested process coats Curcumin in a natural lipid membrane, which provides:
– 285X higher bioavailability (1)
– Peak plasma levels 65 times higher
– 7X longer duration of action compared to a standard Turmeric extract.
(1) According to the “normalized AUC” method
So Curcumin is:
1/ Protected in microencapsulated form during its passage into the stomach
2/ Soluble in fats when passing through the intestinal wall
3/ Active in the blood to reach target tissues
Why does your formula not contain black pepper?
Basically, piperine from black pepper was added to formulas with the aim of increasing the absorption of curcumin. In fact, curcumin in its natural state is very poorly assimilated. However, piperine, beyond only slightly increasing assimilation, is not suitable for people with fragile stomachs.
This is why we use Turmeric SLCP © (= Solid Lipid Turmeric Particle ) which protects Curcumin in a natural plant matrix which has the effect of increasing bioavailability by 285X compared to a standard Turmeric extract.
Can it be combined with the Joints formula?
Yes, these are two completely complementary formulas. The Joints formula is intended for phases of chronic discomfort while Assimilable Turmeric rather targets phases of acute discomfort. Assimilable Turmeric is therefore perfectly indicated in the attack phase while the Joints formula is suitable as a long-term relay.
Can I take it continuously?
In the context of taking it for joint discomfort, taking it can be limited to periods of discomfort. If the discomfort is persistent or as part of more general prevention, it is possible to follow 2 treatments then take a 15-day break.
